The Wilson Brigade Pub Crawl

Welcome

1/8/2010 - Wilson Brigade
Hi Friends,

As many of you already know, our hometown hero, Chris Wilson returned home after bravely serving our Great Nation in Afghanistan over the past year. So the time has finally come to welcome him back and who knows… maybe even throw a few back with the 1st Lieutenant. Being that it is the around the holidays and Chris will only be back for a short period of time, we thought what better time for all of us to get together for a few drinks and laughs in Hoboken and raise some money for a great cause in the process.

So here is the deal, we were hoping that you all could join us for a pub crawl on January 16th, in Hoboken. We will be kicking off the event at Green Rock at 1:00 pm. There is no entry fee or anything like that, however we are accepting donation for The Fallen of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. If you donate $25 or more, you will receive a Wilson Brigade Pub Crawl T-Shirt. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the cause. Find more about the cause listed below. Feel free to contact Nick Matteo, Tim Englert or myself (Mike Galorenzo) with any questions or concerns. Hope to see you all there.

FUNDRAISER HONORING
THE FALLEN OF BRAVO COMPANY, 1ST BATTALION, 5TH MARINES

Join us at the Green Rock in Hoboken, New Jersey on the 16th of January, 2010 for a fundraiser honoring a Marine killed in action with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, which was acting in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The company is scheduled to return soon from a six month combat deployment in the Nawa District of Helmand Province in Southern Afghanistan. The company is comprised of over 180 Marines and Sailors. On July 2, 2009 they were a part of one of the largest helicopter insertions since the Vietnam War. They occupied an area of Afghanistan that had never seen NATO forces and was considered to be a very volatile district. Throughout the course of their combat deployment, and through daily interaction with the Afghan people, the company made consistent gains in security, governance, and the local economy. During operations conducted by Bravo Company, they suffered many casualties and one of their brothers was killed in action. The funds raised from this event will go directly to the wife and twin daughters of the fallen Marine. We hope you can be our guest and join us for this very important cause.
